CC # 143 Thinking it over Rhyme-time

Resting sober
In a field of clover
As love leaves the lover
Questions hover
Is it really over?

Roits rage, the world over
In fear, we cower
Forgetting our power
Our hearts sink lower
As intentions waver.

Beneath our eye's louver
Body, heavy as cloud shower
Our mind, a rover
Sauntering within the thought tower
We are done, thinking it over.

nice irregular rhymes and a cadence that suggests a mind ill at ease and happy when its over.. nice write!

Jacob said it best - except... I'm not sure "happy" is the right word. I picked up more resignation than happiness. Excellent poem!

I love the rhythm and descriptive words especially the "eye's louver"
the last line I am not sure is happy or sad, to me it's just done and time to move on?

the style you chose for your words is perfect

I, like Virginia, picked up resignation at the end!

I like the ending, the way you seem to accept or let go at the end of the words.
