Winter's Haiku

This is what went through my mind, Watching all the snow that got dumped where I live.  Portland, OR last got this much snow in 1968.  It truly is a White Christmas here. Its beautiful even when I really dispise, the cold.   But as with most stuff in my life,  I have a long constant relationship with Duality.

Wishing you All Very Merry Christmas!!!    A Happy Hannukkah!!! and a
Happy New Year!!

And Now The Haiku

I

Snow falls silently
On noisy hummingbird wings
Awed eyes at the window, watch.

II

Season's  first snow
Wearing layers to keep warm
Tired, we stay in.

III

In the path outside
Zen garden of virgin snow
Waiting for sleds to rake.

IV

Imagining summer sun
Long winding roads enjoy warmth
Around my cold heart(h).

P.S. If any of you have any sunshine where you are, please fedex some to me... Thank you in advance.

It's supposed to be in the 50's Saturday here in Michigan. Weird weather always comes here. When all that snow starts melting, we'll have flooding...ew.

Love the imagery and the flow from awed eyes at first to the tired waiting at present to the dreaming of future warmth. Beautiful!

We got over 10 cm of snow overnight again. No sun here. Sorry.
