Ten thoughts tuesday

1.     Coffee and I must be soulmates.

2.     We had a guest last night. It felt good to meet him after 4 years and catch up.

3.     I notice my thoughts have changed since my mother’s passing.  Its like whatever energy she exerted on me that molded my thinking is now out. On one hand, its freeing on the other it feels like something died in me.

4.     The book “The Hidden Brain” is very fascinating. I don’t know if I should take it at face value or if I should really research the data it provides.

5.     I haven’t written much, there are one line ideas and a few dried wells and sand in my muse-land. I don’t know when the gardener is coming.

6.     My children and I had fun cooking pizza and banana bread cake this last week.  I am lousy at telling someone how to do something I do, I usually do it myself than go into elaborate explanations.  Yet, it was alright as I gave them instructions on how to do.

7.     My daughter is getting into the rolling her eyes phase, so she had a lecture session with me yesterday.  Poor thing, I think she has her head echoing with my noise.  Should be extra kind to her today.

8.     My son said the ladybird bit him, that it was more like a small nip. No marks, so wont worry.

9.     We are going to plant a fig tree in our yard. I hope it grows well.

10.  I wish for a genie to make my wishes come true.. I have a list that might be long enough to go around the country.

Have a wonderful day, where ever life takes you today.  Don’t forget to find something amusing no matter what you do today.

Peace
Rashmi.

Um, excuse me, Rashmi...but coffee is MY soulmate ;).

Lol at your daughter rolling her yes. Tell her if she keeps it up her eyes will get stuck that way. Maybe that will cure her lol.

That would make an interesting blog question, the genie subject...wonder what folks would wish for if granted 5 wishes.

As ong as your son does not grow wings, i would not worry about the ladybird bite ;).

Hugs regarding your Mom. I think those who made an impression on us remain with us even when they move on to the next plane. And I have learned that even though I felt a part of me died, it always returned with more insight and love than before. There is a song called "love Is Stronger Than Death". If you PM me your email, I will send it to you. A friend introduced me to that song when my best friend died.

1. lol...Funny.. I never drank coffee till I bought my own home at the age of 57.. and it just seemed right to sit out on my own patio in the morning and enjoy some as I perused my domain.
2. I love those moments..remembering, sharing, enjoying. One can only do that with old friends.
3. I am sure your mother is proud of you...I know mine is.. To have finally come into our own...and shed mantles that belong to someone else. Death is quite freeing... part of a cycle that must occur if the natural flow of life is to be maintained. And as the new shoots spring from the seeds of the dead plants and reach up towards that beautiful light that encourages the soul, the remains of the dead plants continue to nurture through the decay, as finely wrought essence.
4. lol ... I think you answered your own question..
5. Seems there is a season for everything...I can relate to this...It isn't so much, for my part, as a dry well, as it is more a time to rest and regroup...The seeds are beneath the ground, waiting for the right timing.
6. lol ! ..How fun! .. I remember teaching my own how to cook... It does require patience... more for myself ...lol
7. ahh ...She asserts her independent mind...hmmm.. wonder where she got that ? giggling
8. Ladybird?
9. Love figs...
10. lol... Genies can be quite devilish ...as they certainly have the ability to make wishes come true...and then wonder why we wished for them.

My aunt said that to her daughter, so she came to me asking "How do I explain the anatomy of the eye to my mother?"

My son does believe he can fly if he borrowed the eagle's wings ;).

Thank you :).

LOL, I seem to do that a lot and its my husband's pet peeve about me. He goes "why do you even ask when you answer it yourself?" Well hmm.. err..*cough cough* "I like having him listen to me without interrupting"

LOL !! Clever lady ..

My mother did the same...she wasnt the swating butt kind, she was the slapper.. the hand comes like out like a missile and leaves an invisible hole on the cheek and my rolled eyes forget what position they were in as they rolled.

LOL @ Squeeze in there with you.. yep.. the coffee doesnt mind :P.

LOL ! Happy is the man who is married to a woman who can create his blissful state. It is the secret women keep for themselves in a good marriage as wiseness is their only ally. Maybe that is why I am single.. I could never be so clever, or so wise. I think my own ego is on a perpetual food frenzy and always threatened with starvation. lol
