Another Tsunami hits Indonesia and other Island Nations in the Pacific. More deaths and devastation. We have no control over this event. I cant imagine what the people there are going through...In my own selfish way...I am hoping two of my blog-mates from the surrounding areas are safe and alive.
Tsunami of Oct 1st 2009
Among the moonbeams
Along the ocean's seams
Ride silvery waves
Leaving lonesome caves
To far off lands
Across the sands
As salty tears
Drip at the chaotic piers
Over lives lost, so many
In another Tsunami
Wishing it wasnt so
Knowing it is so
Palms join in focussed thoughts
May grieving hearts find safe spots.

Oh what a beautiful poem for those who are suffering so much right now Rashmi.
To think that there are Tsunami's, Earthquakes, Floods, Typhoons and so much more grief in the Southern Hemisphere happening at this time.
Natures fury is never to be neglected.
We are so fortunate if we are protected.
Yes..
Palms join in focused thoughts
May grieving hearts find safe spots
Amen. xo
As always.. you find the right words...Thank you Rashmi.
Beautiful words Rashmi.
I especially agree with that last line of your poem Rashmi..I hope your blog mates are safe also.

So much less fuss made of this than the last one. It's sad.
