Fantastic site, Rashmi.... I had no idea the depth of the Woman's efforts in India.. This does my heart good.... Do they have agencies for those of you living here ?
Most organizations and charities within India rarely get the Media coverage that those outside get. I dont know the reasons but I presume it has to do with money, clout and a lack of know-how or maybe its something I cant understand... but will someday hopefully.
I know of people who will quietly do their bit to help those around them like say their maid's children get an education or if they cant afford to send them to school they spend time teaching them to read and write in the hope that it will open doors of oppurtunities for them or providing scholarships to kids in poor areas via their temples or via their parents who live in those villages etc.. but rarely do any get a mention, mainly cause they feel that any help they render is between them and god and sometimes the person who gets the help. No one else really has a say in such matters.
