I used to tell my 100% non American staff that if we (Americans) went to any other country there would be nothing for us like ESL, there would be no press one for English on the recorded phone messages LOL
I commend that family for doing what they did.
My son went to Monterey Language School... From the minute he walked into his classes no other language was permitted than the one being taught. He was studying Russian... He said, out of around 50 or 60 in the class..it soon whittled down to around 15...lol
I wonder if that father could help the children realize this is a relatively small challenge.. No one expects them to get it right away... but they will.. and it would be a shame if they weren't enjoying their own version of reality.... and not feel so threatened by it.
