Creative Challenge #52 : Peering

This is the Capilano Suspension Bridge, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, across the Capilano river.  We made the trip in 1997 August. We were waiting for our ferry when we heard the news that Princess Diana had passed in an accident.

Those fine lines…
Hanging bridges through time
Some walk elegantly
Some peccantly
I see that line,
Stretching into seeming eternity.
Would I catch the moment of my fall?
Would I arrive at the other side?
My substance measured along that walk...
Was that my choice?
Was that my Destiny?
Peering at nothingness…
Listening for an answer,
Space, shrouds me in silence.

The age old question, eh? I believe I make choices, but I also believe some things were meant to happen, meant to be. Sometimes I have trouble reconciling the two.
Great poem!

The view is very beautiful and the walk across gave an inkling of how the trapeze artists must feel. Its enjoyable though.
