Reflections

When I stand before you
I see in you -
what I love
what I hate
the sensitivity
the numbness
my cruelty
my compassion
my tears
my laughter
a me that is young,
a me that is Old,
a me totally ignorant
a me relatively wise
Holding both within
A Scale, I am
Sometimes up
Sometimes down
I cherish them all
But Most cherished
Is those perfect moments
In complete Balance.

For a tour of Poetry Posse, stroll through here.

Rashmi balance is what the world strives for and it starts within us all. When we reflect, the picture becomes much clearer and then it is up to one and all to use this insight from reflection to place all things including ourselves back into BALANCE. I loved your take here.

Do you think it's a good idea to have an identical partner?

Mindsnomad Yay said...

@ Gilesy - On some issues I do think its good to have a partner who is like you, for instance ethics, how we handle money, kids... but on other, No, we need to be different. I do think couples work well together in all aspects when both are willing to "give and take" and they complement each other. Its that Yin-Yang thing that works. I could be wrong, I am still learning after all.

I have rarely seen partners who are identical to each other. Most are Opposites, with different degrees of Differences.

Sure, go ahead, as long as you credit it. :)

This speaks to me of the "others are mirrors to us" concept I have heard so often... But Balance is also very important. Someday maybe I will achieve it..(smile)

Finding balance is finding that perfection or near perfection within the self that seems just short of the mark. For finding balance is not an overnight task, but something that takes years to rise to, but when the moment finds itself, along the way, it also finds the person and then all the unanswered questions have the answers as plain as a full moon on a clear night.

Nicely written. 8=)
