Entry for October 18, 2006

This was a poem in Hindi, I got from a friend.  As I read it, I thought about how true this is with the busy lives we lead.   I have the translation for those who dont understand the language.

Har khushi hai logo ke Daman me,

Par ek hansi ke liye waqt nahi.

Din rat daudti duniya me,

Zindagi ke liye he waqt nahi.

Maa ki lori ka ahsaas to hai,

par maa ko maa kehne ka waqt nahi.

Sare riston ko to hum maar chuke,

ab unhe dafnane ka bhi waqt nahi.

Sare naam mobile me hain,

par dosti ke liye waqt nahi.

Gairon ki kya baat karen,

jab apano ke liye hee waqt nahi.

Ankhon me hai neend badee,

par sone ko waqt nahi.

Dil hai gamo se bhara hua,

par rone ko bhi waqt nahee.

Paison ki daud me aise daude,

ki thakane ko bhe waqt nahi.

Paraye ahsason ki kya kadar karen,

jab apane sapano ke liye he waqt nahi.

Tu hi bata E zindagi,

is zindagi ka kya hoga.

Ki har pal marane walon ko,

jeene ke liye bhi waqt nahi.......

Ki har pal marane walon ko,

jeene ke liye bhi waqt nahe.

Every happiness is destined in the lives of people.

But they don’t have time to smile.

We run around day and night in our world

To live, we don’t have time.

We know the feeling of a mothers lullaby

But we don’t have the time to call out to our mothers- â€œmom” .

We killed all our relationships

But we don’t have time to bury them

All the names are on our cellphone

But we don’t have time for friendships.

Why talk about others

When we don’t have time for the ones we are with.

Eyes are filled with sleep

But we don’t have time to sleep.

Hearts are filled with sadness

But we don’t have time to cry.

We ran such a run after money

That we don’t have time to get tired

Why bother about others feelings

When we don’t have time for our dreams.

Tell me , dear life, what will become of this life, When those who die every second don’t have the time to live.
