What would I be willing to give,
To know the completeness of my being?
Once in a while,
I feel the wisp of my boundlessness,
In a dot of a moment,
A blink of Knowing
Only to be left alone with a longing
to Know again, to Hold forever.
What have I, that is Mine to give,
when, what I have, was never mine?
Mine- this word needs to be Mined,
For, it holds so many ores of meaning,
Seamlessly, yet constantly changing with time.
How do I claim ownership, when I feel none
For, what is, does not belong to me alone?
How easy it would be to be able to live an illusion,
With those that live their illusions.
After all, there's a strength in numbers and bonds in groups.
Yet, when the day breaks
And I am alone in the soul's silence,
I catch a glimpse of truth,
And know the Illusion.
How then, do I learn to travel in comfort,
With the Nights of Illusion and the Days of Truth
Within their changing in constance?

Oh WOW ... I am almost speechless here ... amazing words to read ... so many different things to see between each line .... wonderful writing ...
''Alone in the soul's silence ...'' Oh how I love those moments .....
Thank you Lynne :). Glad you enjoyed the read :).
I suppose this happens when the mind stops moving and the moment stands still in clear certainty..when the heart accepts the challenge to Love One's Self without the challenges of expecting...when reality is lack of disappointment , and when no one listens and it is ok.
Beautifully written ....a cry from the heart...
So many beautiful lines... truth and illusion..... illusion and truth.... Mine- this word needs to be Mined, their change in constance.... Bravo!!!!!

The bonding of the group is critical if there is to be any strength. All for one and one for all. You can have a "group" of 100 chickens in the same hen house, yet when Mr. Fox arrives, it all boils down to Mr. Fox and the slowest chicken (oer perhaps the bravest chicken). A flock of 100 chickens, if they bonded, could drive the Fox away. No fox wants to deal with 100 beaks and 200 sets of spurs.
Wonderful writing!
Great lines.

I wish I knew.
You have proved once again Rashmi your talent as a philosophical woman and poetess.
Excellent writing and very interesting and thought provoking too.
Oh my goodness! I absolutely love this! Thanks Rashmi.
True. The fox is perhaps lucky that chickens dont bond, he gets his food easy.
Thank you Jackie...Expectations are a cause for dissappointments. I think Hope and expectations are tied in. Human beings live with Hope and when we Hope, there are Expectations for the result.
Thank you Belita, Vicki, Cal and Edo.

I really enjoyed reading this......
There may be strength in groups, but one has gotta' march to the beat of her own drum, eh? This is a profoundly beautiful poem, Rashmi.
Thank you Calli, Dannete, IJ, Maddy, Pete and Jo.
@ Jo, isnt that amazing that we still march to the beat of our own drum?
