Zambia's 'porn' trial is obscene

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/libertycentral/2009/sep/03/zambia-obscenity-porn-birth
Ironic to see that if there was a cow/goat or buffalo birth its calf/kid on the street everyone feels fine with it but a Human Birth on the Street is Porn? How sick can we as a species get? The Intention was to get the attention of authorities to do what is needed to stop the Doctor's strike and work to provide essential healthcare for the citizens.

I see why they posted the photos, but if I looked at a medical picture on a train here of the same sort and someone saw it and complained, then I could be prosecuted for obscenity.

Another ridiculous attempt to consider the public as fools... Governments are good at twisting the ludicrous into a chance to wipe out freedom of reporting... Now.. the next part is... do people really buy this nonsense from their illustrious leaders? What reactions are the populace making?

A birth is always a miracle, the begining of a new life!

The editor was acquited http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8362853.stm

I heard this on NPR this afternoon and was wondering what on earth is wrong with people...of course, I can never understand the accusation the VP of Zambia made against this editor.

Well pornographic is absolutely the wrong definition there and reflects the ignorance of the accuser. A woman's body is not existing just to satisfy men's desires. Those parts of the body some men can't look upon without lusting are beautifully involved in the giving of birth to another life and the nurturing of it. It is a wonder and shouldn't be scorned.
