Ten thought Tuesday.

There are tomatoes on my plant.. though I wasnt able to care for them while I was in India.  Thank you! Mother Nature.

These days, there isnt much on the News about Iraq or Afghanistan and fuel price is at $2.70/gal for regular,  where I am.  I am wondering what happened.  Or maybe its because my attention is not so much on the News.

I notice that good, caring, generous people can become Tyrants when they get a little Power, either in terms of money or clout... What is it about Power that makes us so?

I have been forgetful these past weeks more than usual.  Is it 'cause am growing old or am I going through a phase of absentmindedness or cause I havent had much exercise since my return from India?

The books "The five Love languages of Children" and "The law of attraction" are insightful, though they are things we know without really giving it a name.  I like the packaging in this case.

Ok, I know an obsession when I see one, obsession with chocolate/coffee, I understand.. Why is the media so obsessed with Michelle Obama's arm?

On Saturday,  the 10 day festival of Dusshera begins, which means thorough home cleaning begins today...On Monday Ramzan ends, I will miss my friend's Mother's Biriyani *sigh*.  I guess, now my friend will be preparing it.

Patrick Swayze passed away.. I loved his movies Three wishes,  King Solomon's Mines, To Wong Foo(where I was first introduced to the concept of Drag Queen, I only knew about Eunachs from India), Dirty Dancing and Ghost(I liked Whoopi as Oda Mae).  Rest In Peace.

A new squirrel family has moved into the backyard and they love to romp on our roof.

My son found a Hawk feather(I dont know How he Knows its a Hawk) on the street and now I have to find out what kind of Hawk it is, cause he wants to know.

Is it ten yet?

LOL I have no idea about Obama's arm...that is a good question!

Forgetfulness is also caused by stress...working out relieves stress so to answer your question yes!

Tomatoes..... tomatoes love to be ignored..just give them a bit of sun..and keep the darn tomato worms away.. and your tomatoes will thank you... I was able to grow tomatoes for such a long season.. (Planted in March, along with the rest of the vegies ) when, I watered them less..we had fresh tomatoes for Christmas ! Actually I took a basket of fresh vegetables from that garden to a friend for a Christmas gift... I did have one scare though, when the seedlings were still under 6 inches.. A frost at Easter...I took my king size sheets ..all of them..and covered the entire garden...By late April.. everything had begun to put out mature edibles.

This is the best question I have seen yet...on humanity's foibles. Power..it acts like a drug.. seems when you can taste power... even just a little bit.. the brain loses all sense of itself. Something really wierd happens... a euphoria that can't contain itself. I think those who control this world are addicted to this power/drug. And like any other drug.. the abuser needs more and more to attain that high.

Forgetfullness happens when the mind has other things that override the consciousness. You have many more important things going on in your mind...I hope you can allow these things without entertaining negativities about your situation. I like the idea of exercise.. but not like it is REALLY exercise... A relaxing walk that brings you to a beautiful feeling of onesness with Nature is excellent medicine for the mind, and the perfect exercise .
No worries about your mind... it is doing what it has to do.

I love tomatoes. They were my only craving while I was pregnant both times, first with the twins, and then Hunter. I will slice up a tomato and the boys won't eat any so the slices are always MINE! YUM.

We have power as parents. For some it does make them tyrants. We have to use the power we have as parents/adults in a loving, compassion manner. Sometimes, we don't even realize the tremendous influence we have on our children - our power is from the love we have for our children.

I tend to become forgetful when my mind and my spirit is down. My whole being can get caught up in trying to ward off the depression I am prone to and so my mind goes into survival mode - and the other details and tasks in my life become secondary and so I tend to forget.

Michelle Obama's arm? I am afraid I am lost on this bit of news also?

I am thinking he remembered something he must have seen in the books we borrowed from the Library... He loves reading about animals, birds and bugs. It used to be dinosaurs, hes sort of graduated from it :P.
