Creative Challenge 68 : Willingly, I succumb.

"I do not worship Idols, Nor bow before False Gods"
says my well meaning friend, clutching his sacred book in hand.
What Idol, what False God?  I wonder,
Realizing he meant the rock before me that I hold in sacredness.
As the One who is Always right, I stare at the book in his hand
A thousand arguments pass through my mind's landscape,
Making such a din.
Yet, A quiet voice makes itself heard...
"He, and all that he holds sacred, is also You"
The need to retort diminishing,
A Smile forms with in my soul
Willingly, I succumb to the Rock's Compassion.

Very beautiful, and so well put in those lines.
Everything we don't want to reach and learn, we try to categorize or find it a name. Like "False Gods". Or diseases.

Be it a rock or the wind, we all find something we give into to believe in.

Nice perspective, a write for thought. Well done 8=)

The irony, eh? I loved this poem. Reminds me that we can learn from anything and that faith will carry us.

An elder once told me, that we learn no matter what happens, but we become more of what we are when we use what we learned to bring harmony.

Thank you, :)
