Entry for June 21, 2007

A fortnight ago was my birthday. I am heading towards the 37th milepost. I have heard that women generally tend to say a lower number when it comes to their age. But the weird me has this theory- if saying a lower age doesnt really lower my age then whats the point of wasting my energy trying to remember who I said a lower age to?

As usual, I had to get into the things that made me learn, made me think, made me laugh, made me sad etc. Its a compulsion I have. Here they are in no particular order.

1. I have concluded that no matter how many toilets I have in my home, it does not mean that I can actually get to use it whenever I want to. Note to self:(Next time move into a home where each member of a family has a bathroom, its ok if there are no bedrooms :P)
2. I have learned that My son should not be teased as "silly goose" but as "silly Gander".
3. I have learned that the thing that children love the most is the thing that makes the adults go either "Yuck, Ick or ewwwww"
4. I discovered that the Happiest I have been is when I watched Others Laugh from their hearts, especially the unrestrained laugh of kids.
5. I have this feeling that when I delivered my kids, my brain slipped out along with the placenta. I am yet to make a conclusion on this one.
6. My Monkeys(kids) have informed me that I am "FAT" cause I was born in the chinese year of the Pig. I believe them.
7. I have discovered that I am a bad student of dinosaurs. My son surpasses me.
8. I discovered that when I close my eyes, the picture of my husband hasnt changed from what he was when we first met. Am I in Denial?
9. The saddest I have been is when I have lost friends to busy-ness of life or when someone is critically ill.
10. I have had a rollercoaster year in my relationships, work and health but I have survived and managed to look back and laugh at it too.
11. I still have a hard time asking for help or asking for what I need from others. Still working on it.
12. I have been able to say NO to stuff (at least sometime) that I have previously said Yes too just because I couldnt say NO. Guess I am getting a hang of it.
13. I have got exercise more often this year, now trying to keep that up is a toughie.
14. I have discovered that my kids have a knack for teaching me. I have a lot to learn from them.

Life is the way it should be and I am right where I need to be.

Feeling Blessed
Mithuna.
