Stretch Out

Stretching and straining into this world
Alone and naked in our being
Air fills and stretches our lungs
The One and Only lesson of life begins.

Stretch out, see the world
Different hues and sounds it strums
Stretch out, feel the warmth
Of the Sunshine that life brings.

Stretch out, open your palm
So you may receive
All life's bountiful blessings
Only an upturned palm can hold.

Stretch out, aware of your mind
See its expansiveness
Its childlike being
Soaking, learning everything.

Stretch out, walk the un-trodden path
So that you may go
Beyond what your eyes can see
Acquainting yourself with resilience.

Stretch your body
For as the body flexes
So does your mind,
To Hold all things in repose.
