Chitrahaar-Bollywood songs

When it comes to Music, I like anything that isn’t harsh on my ears. Now figuring out what is harsh depends on the Mood I am in. I like folk music, ghazals, instrumental(most of all flutes, santoor, drums and sitar), songs from other languages as long as it has a good tune to it. I like to think I am a mellow, laidback kind of person, who likes to watch life and everyone pass by. I like to sit back, drinking my cup of herbal chai making observations and drawing illusory conclusions that will be very far from reality. Music I like, reflects the way I am or would love to be to a large degree. My husband does think I have my head in the clouds most times. Did I mention that I do have a Phd in Daydreaming?(yes that’s illusory too).

My daughter is having spring break so I took off. Today the three of us are going to make a lot of noise and annoy our wonderful neighbours ;)). I visited a few of my friend’s blogs today, and enjoyed going back to the Chitrahaar days. Remember, that program with Bollywood songs that used to run for half an hour? I specially like old songs from the early years of Lataji, Mukeshji, Mohammad Rafi sahab, Kishoreji's time. So here is my Chitrahaar, songs I have enjoyed. Have fun watching.

O Majhi re – Kishore

Man Dole Tan Dole - from the movie Nagin

Lamhe- morni baaga ma

Aye dil e nadaan - from the movie Razia Sultan

Dil to pagal hai - instrumental

Dil to pagal hai - koi ladki hai

Piyu bole – Parineeta (2005)

Hope you had fun.

Rashmi.
