Creative Challenge #150 - The Fine Me.

Everyone says I am fine,
But I hear  the difference
In the tone of their voice
And, I see different
In the hold of their shoulders.

Everyone says I am fine
But I feel the difference
In their step as they walk
And, I know different
From the waterline in their eyes.

I remember Me,
When my voice was fine
         But I wasnt.
When my shoulders slouched
Yet I kept a straight spine.
When with each step,
           I heaved a black hole.
When my eyelashes leveed
         To hold the waters in.

Everyone says I am fine,
While I know different,
Letting them Be.

It's sad that we don't feel we can open up to each other, isn't it?

oh yes just by the tone of their voice we know whether or not they are really fine, it goes with that answer when you ask someone what is wrong and they say "nothing" lol
love your thoughts put to pen!

Its not very easy to open up, especially in a world like ours. That is sad. Thank you Virginia...I am still in a daydream with sunshine and gardens, spicy foods and colourful clothes :).

Thank you Callie. I loved the little miracles, it takes those little things to make our life fill with joy.

LOL, that is a classic. I notice most men will not press further from their spouses "Nothing" but a woman does and that makes the man Clam up ever more...its so Ironic

It is hard to be open and objective when we are caught up in the subjective and bound there. Objectivity thrives upon eyes that can see and understand that there are indeed answers for our travails. The search for answers is paramount if we are to move forward in our lives!
