Creative Challenge #147 - Hands

The snake peeped into the parrot’s nest and a thought crossed its mind- if only I had hands, getting these eggs for dinner would be so easy.

In a rag-tag tent under the tree, the poor mason laments as he looks on at the egg he dropped on the ground- after all the hard work these hands have done, it couldn’t hold on to the dinner, it earned.

The snake slithers into its hole at the base of the tree coiling up satisfied.  The mason, curls up in his tent, dreaming of his next meal.

The night moves on, knowing both will wake when the day arrives.

I like this double sided fable type of story...a good lesson for us :)

Excellent! Nothing like a good night's sleep to give you a whole new perspective on the coming day.

Life does move on, no matter how painful or joyful things around us are.

@ Callie, cinnamon, figure
Thank you :)

@ Danette
This is an attempt to stop my compulsion for writing poetry, and try something different. Initially I wanted to write about Reiki, my wondering and wandering about the subject.

@ Tim.
I agree. Everything looks "doable" after a good nights sleep.

Powerful metaphor! Time/life moves on, eh?
