Creative Challenge 9 : A moment in Time

Leafing through the Album
Eyes scan the Photos,
Black and white and colour
The  smiles and frowns
The stiff and candid
Cherished memories
Though twas a moment in time.

The whispered nothing
The Cheeks blushing
The shyly held hands
At love's beginning
The coyness in the eye
Cherished youth
Though twas a moment in time.

The silent words mouthed
Behind an elder's back
Beneath the Mango tree
The stolen kisses
At our parents home
Cherished moments
Though twas a moment in time.

The joyful re-union with friends back home
The teasing and affection bestowed
The crash around the bend in the road
Taking you away from me
Twas also a moment in time
Yet, the pain and grief lasted Long
Until, I remembered
All those moments in time
We cherished together
Knowing, you left me
Stronger than I ever was
Now thankful I walk, Holding on
To those precious moments in time.

Seems like it. For a while, the business of life didnt let me sit quiet..I was going through a dry spell but today it poured.(giggling).

I wondered where you'd got to.

The kids have summer vacation, which means, Mom's on demand.

Chauffeuring?

Mindsnomad Yay said...

Not so much chauffering, as keeping them entertained enough.

Giles Y Owen said...

Recite your poems to them. That will teach them to entertain themselves (no offence intended). Or better still, make them sit and write their own.

I did that, My son is too young to do that so asked him to do pictures of all the things he saw/did during the day and asked my Daughter to Report, like a news anchor woman the things shes done, which means she has to write it out(yeah, I am a mean mom)

They forget everything if they don't do things like that during the holidays now and then.

Mindsnomad Yay said...

Yes, which is why I wanted them to keep a record. I also told them to keep a record of anything NEW they learned to do during vacation. So they complain that its like they are back at school(giggling).
