The set, so Magical
Actors writhe in seeming passion
At the sound of "Action"
The Process, so Clinical
Videographer Pans a closeup
On cue, their face changes
Like meek lions in cages
No need for makeup.
At the sound of "Cut"
Both head out
To scrub off unseen dirt
Of "Meaningless words".

Great poem beautifully worded and written and depicting the phrase word - meaningless words. Ty for sharing. Mine is at -http://jayaramanms.multiply.com/journal/item/213/CREATIVE_CHALLENGE_8.
Bit like my job: I leave and I switch off, little thought given to the terrible time other people are having until I'm back at work next day.
@ Giles: These are things we do out of necessity to survive. Certain jobs require detachment so that it can be done right.
Wow very unique take on the challenge...my favorite line is: The Process so, Clinical...Thank you for joining in!
Well done and very much how it is on set. Thanks for your kind words on mine also.
Okay this is a take I didn't think of. What a brilliant mind you have :o). Very interesting how you linked movies, and actors, to meaningless words. I'd never thought of it like that before. But it holds a lot of truth to it.
