They say

They say, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

But this apple has rolled far.

So far, that it can’t roll back into the shade of its tree.

Would an apple tree grow under the shade of the other trees?

They say, that there’s always a someone,

We want to hold on to.

It is you, it isn’t me,

Why does it not hold for both you and me?

They say, the truth sets you free.

The truth I heard, has made me

As knotted up as can be.

Will I be set free?

They say, time heals all wounds,

Yet, there are wounds that never do so

They ache in the most inopportune moments.

Would time heal it before we pass?

They say, they said so, from their consistent experience,

Yet, none of mine is consistent with theirs.

A square peg in this round world

Would the edges smooth out?

Some apples do fall and roll afar pending the momentum.

And apple tree can grow amongst and under several trees.

I think there is a large difference with needs yet we are people that do require an interconnection, as it's the nature within the human being.

Why there comes to be good bonds is that there is an observation and an aptitude of respect. The truth with the truth sets you free is truly an ideal in my opinion free is what we deem it to be.

Wounds sometimes are never entirely things, which heal within the human element.

Yet the premise within life is to continue. Just as if one has lost a limb it does not grow back. However within the mind, brain there is something more to this one. Let alone the soul, as it can't be measured but another area of worth.

Edges do sooth within life as it's all with the manner of perspective. One can try to fit a square peg within a round world or one can adapt with their own manner.

Thought provoking to say the least!

I try not to listen to everything they say...

I have often wondered who "they" are...and why so much importance on what "they" say...
I tend to call my 'wounds' badges of experience... Why not?
And apples, sigh.. would all be on top of each other unless some very adventurous apple decided to pick a spot all its own to grow in the sun and spawn an orchard in kind.

I asked the same question, and got answers like They who came before us, They who are older than us, They who in experience are beyond us, Them vs. Us, They who are wiser than us. I dont know what to make of Them or why it is implied that we have to comply to them or their ideas, of Them vs. Us.

I prefer the later, found it to fit well with me, that go with the idea that worked for someone else who isnt me.

Ah! I try too only I seem to have a tendency of hearing what I shouldnt be ;).

I somehow think it is the original cop-out phrase... From 'those' who don't understand taking responsibility...It got passed on to us as authority..and the phantoms of the "They, Them and Those" gained immortal status with no name ..lol

I rather like the idea of the apple or person rolling independently and freely from the tree. That does not change its roots. Just changes the direction. And it is all about choices.

And I rather like the idea of being a square peg rather than a carbon copy of the round ones in this world. Individuality is so underrated.

I also rather like the idea of accepting that not all truths fit us. That's the truth, ya' know ;).

As for holding onto someone, I believe at times one is the stronger of the two. But I also believe in those magical moments when both fit perfectly together.

And some wounds leave scars that cannot be erased. I figure they make us who we are.

Your words made me think, once again, Rashmi. Thank you.

LOL @ That's the truth ya' know. So true.

As for holding on to someone, I sometimes wish the other was stronger. Wounds, I dont mind the scars as long as they have healed. The ones that take forever to heal makes me sad.

Yw Jo.

maybe certain wounds do not take forever to heal...maybe they just heal as far as they can and let us decide how to apply the salve? maybe they are there to remind us..heck, i do not know, but you sure do have me thinking.
