What name could I give
To this thing that IS
Between You and I?
Try as I might
No words can explain,
That which is there yet not there.
Trying not to see
Or is it just Me,
Not wanting to taste
The truth between us?
Is it a waste of Time?
With so much
Happening within and with us
In our silences
Keeping our cold exteriors
While Lava fills the interiors
Anonymous behind the screens
Glad for the Distance
Listening silently
To the same songs
We both like
Afraid to see
How much we're alike
You and I
With our impenetrable walls
Our invisible smiles
Our lives on a Groove
Would we someday perhaps
Cross each other's path
Recognize the other
In some corner of our hearts
Would we then Know
What we are, to each other?
