Sun beams peep through the blinds
As he stretches his sleepy sinews
A whiff of yesterday's aftershave
Arm searching and hugging quietly
Eyelids feel the caress
Of gently pressed lips
Could I ask for more?
Sprinkler cools the summers heat
Kids playing with dad in the lead
Taking care of their every need
Peels of laughter as you play
I watch in awe love's display
For a moment, I see heaven
Could I ask for more?
Leisure wanderings on a weekend
The mind roams every recess
Feeling the beauty of my Life
Yet I wonder "is there more?"
Searching for that unknown
The ungrateful wretch,
Always asking for more.
